Financial Advisers

David Robinson - Senior Adviser

Having worked in the financial services sector in Devon for over 30 years, I became an IFA in 2014 and joined Davidsons IFA in February 2016. I continue to enjoy looking after the financial planning needs of clients, dealing with issues as diverse as achieving long term financial goals as well as protecting families in the event of the unforeseen. Solutions will range from investments, including ISAs or Pensions, through to life assurance sourced from the whole of the market.

In order to support clients across the ever-changing spectrum of financial issues, I have committed to continued professional developement, achieving the ACII/Dip PFS qualification.

John McVean

Two decades in financial services has taught me the importance of holistic, all-round financial advice. Life is not one-dimensional and financial advice needs to reflect that. Independence and the ability to access any solution from the whole of the market is crucial when it comes to meeting the varied needs of clients, as are regular reviews to ensure long term goals are met.

Since joining Davidsons IFA in June 2016, I have been able to use the six-monthly review process to ensure clients' investments are kept up to date with changes in the markets, the economy, the Government and indeed their own personal circumstances. The success of this review process has helped build long term client relationships and I have been particularly pleased with referrals and testimonials from both clients and professional connections, reflecting my own committment to the client and their needs.

Liz Bloomfield

Following four years working on the admin side of financial services, with Cheltenham and Gloucester and the Chelsea building society, I became a qualified adviser in 2003. In 2008, I moved to Cornwall and have worked for two of the UK's largest financial advice networks, including providing telephone-based advice for three years. However, by 2017, I was keen to return to face-to-face advice. It has always been important to me to offer independent financial advice because I strongly believe that is fundamental to providing the best advice to individuals and corporate clients alike. This is also something Davidsons IFA passionately believes in so joining in 2017 was the perfect fit! I even enjoy the daily drive across the Devon/Cornwall border!

My qualifications include the full Financial Planning Certificate, CeMap (Mortgage Advice), Equity Release, Long Term Care Fees and Pension update. I hold the full regulated Diploma in Financial Advice.

Kristian Doggrell

I joined Davidsons IFA in June 2018 having spent 8 years in various roles within financial services, including Bank Manager, Mortgage Adviser and Independent Financial Adviser. For me, one of the most important aspects of being a financial adviser is spending time with clients, getting to know them and understand their aspirations throughout life's stages.

Having just had our first child, my wife and I made the decision to move closer to friends and family in Devon. Following my initial meeting with Craig and the team here at Davidsons, it was obvious we held the same beliefs regarding looking after clients and I look forward to being part of the exciting future here at Davidsons.

Mortgage Advisers

Alin Botos

My early career was in Retail where I learnt a lot about customer service and assessing and understanding client needs. In 2013 I decided to retrain, and enrolled on an Accountancy and Finance degree with Plymouth University and joined the financial services industry in 2014 as a mortgage adviser. Roles with London and Country Mortgages, in Bath, and Virgin Money in Exeter allowed me to enjoy the day to day contact with clients, helping them with mortgages and protection.

With my young family, we moved to Devon and in late 2017 I joined the mortgage team here at Davidsons as a mortgage adviser. I am enjoying the challenge of providing clients with professional, independent mortgage advice as well as looking at life protection needs.
