Coronavirus – our response

Published on

We wish to provide reassurance to all our clients that we are following Government and Public Health England advice and recommendations to help mitigate the risks associated with Coronavirus. We are also giving regular detailed advice to our staff in line with these recommendations.

The Government has advised us all to avoid unnecessary contact or social interaction. At the same time, we know there is a real need for us to keep communicating with clients during this time of uncertainty. Those who are buying a house still need us to help with the mortgage and those who have investments will want to discuss what the latest market volatility means for their savings.

Therefore, wherever possible, until further notice, we will be operating within the following framework:

  • We will conduct meetings with clients over 70 by telephone or Skype rather than face to face.
  • For all other client meetings we would encourage switching to telephone or Skype meetings, however our advisers will be available for face to face meetings. All appointments will be confirmed on the morning of the appointment to check that clients are still in a position to go ahead with the meeting.
  • All non-essential meetings have been cancelled.

Clients should let us know if they are self isolating and meetings can be re-arranged accordingly or conducted by phone or Skype.

We are working hard to minimise any potential impact on our service levels, however, advisers can look after each other’s client work, so please bear with us if a different adviser contacts you.

I hope this helps to clarify how we are planning to deal with the latest updates from the Government about the Coronavirus situation. We don’t know how long these restrictions will be in place but please be assured we will be here to help in any way we can.
