Associate Director (Mortgages)
A passion for helping clients
Before joining Davidsons, Chris enjoyed a 30-year career with Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society. He joined from school as a counter clerk and finished as the Group Manager for the Exeter area.
However, as Chris progressed through the ranks, he gradually moved away from what he had originally wanted to do – deal directly with clients and help them achieve their goals and aspirations. So, in March 2007, he left C&G and joined Davidsons as an independent mortgage adviser.
“Over the years I have enjoyed the freedom of being independent, with unlimited products and services to source from, and have taken great satisfaction in helping the business grow. My passion for client work remains undiminished and I still deal directly with clients as well as sharing my knowledge and experience with the rest of the mortgage team.”
Chris is married and has two children. When not socialising with friends and family you will find him supporting his local sports teams and trying to keep up with his dog, a German Shorthaired Pointer called Dexter.
Chris is a nice approachable bloke who was easy to talk to. He then got me a great mortgage deal while being kind and showing real empathy with the frustrations of my house purchase.

The three small things that make my day better are:
Nice hot coffee when I arrive at work. Lenders who say ‘yes’. No rain.
The three things I love most about my job are:
Variation. Talking to clients. Helping clients to achieve their goals.
Three things on my bucket list are:
Visit New Zealand. Scuba diving. A parachute jump.
When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for:
- Watching rugby and football
- Walking my dog Dexter in the woods
- Holidays and city breaks
- Socialising with family and friends
- Cycling and the gym
