David has worked in financial services for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Davidsons, he worked across the industry including in high-street banking, trust planning for doctors and dentists, and as the lead adviser for a firm specialising in inheritance tax planning.
It was important to David to be able to use ‘whole of market’ solutions to help his clients achieve their goals, which is why he is now using his extensive experience in his work as an independent financial adviser.
His work also involves researching discretionary and bespoke portfolio solutions for investment and pension planning.
“I take pride in looking after families, building their finances and looking after their future. I also like to challenge myself in order to help businesses and trustees with the more complicated areas of financial planning.”
David is married with two children, and when not advising clients he can often be found socialising with his family.

Continue to travel extensively. Get my golf handicap down (currently 13). To complete updating the family home.
When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for:
- Keeping fit - My son is a personal trainer and ‘a wicked taskmaster’
- Playing golf with a mixture of results
- Going on long walks with my wife (not always towards pubs and restaurants!)
- Gardening at weekends to relax
- Socialising in the community with neighbours and friends
