Gold award winning investment advice for clients
After years working in the City, Jonathan realised his family’s long term ambition to move to the south west and to work for a reputable, independent advice firm, where he is able to talk to clients about the full range of financial products and find what’s right for them without bias.
Prior to working for Davidsons, Jonathan spent time building and managing client investment portfolios at large city firms and was also head of trading at a boutique investment firm. He moved from the City into independent financial planning practices, sitting on the investment committees, including for one firm which secured the ‘Portfolio Adviser Gold Award’ for outstanding investment returns within the boutique category.
Jonathan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has extensive experience sitting on investment committees for independent financial advice firms.
“On behalf of our clients, I feel that my background in investment management makes me well placed to ensure the solutions I offer are suitable for their personal objectives and circumstances, both in terms of the product itself and the underlying nuts and bolts of that arrangement.”
When he’s not looking at investments, Jonathan can be found outdoors, particularly on or around the water with his wife and 2 young children.
I enjoy assisting my clients in a practical and honest manner, enabling them to understand what we may achieve over time with the right planning in place.
The three things I love most about my job are:
Simplifying financial solutions for clients. Watching clients realise their aspirations over time. Following the investment markets.
The three small things that make my day better are:
Tea. Sense of humour. Being busy.
Three things on my bucket list are:
Diving in Indonesia. Sailing around the world. Learning to surf.
When the dessert menu arrives I'm looking for:
- Riding on the moors
- Watching the rugby
- Sailing and maintaining our small yacht
- Being on the beach
- Visiting castles with the children
